This untitled original dates from around 2012, when RETNA's script was moving from the walls of Los Angeles into museums and galleries. MOCA Los Angeles had included him in Art in the Streets in 2011, and gave him an installation of his own, RETNA: Para mi gente, in 2013.
The lack of a title is typical of his script works. The visual language is the subject, and the marks communicate through rhythm, form and colour rather than through verbal meaning.
