Damien Hirst (b. 1965) — Heart Spin Painting, 2009
Damien Hirst was born in Bristol in 1965, studied at Goldsmiths College and won the Turner Prize in 1995. Spin paintings are among the works he is best known for, alongside his spot and butterfly paintings and his preserved animal sculptures.
This is an original Damien Hirst heart spin painting from 2009, for sale at Creed Gallery in Ascot, Berkshire, and made in connection with Hirst's Requiem exhibition at the PinchukArtCentre in Kyiv. Spin paintings are made by pouring paint onto a spinning surface, so the colour is thrown outwards in radial streaks, and no two are alike. The colour runs through and the signature is on the front. It is framed in white with a white mount. It is on show at our Damien Hirst spin paintings exhibition on Thursday 19th November, 5pm to 8pm, with free entry.
Available through Creed Gallery, Ascot, for collectors across Berkshire, Surrey, and London.
