Helena Jay — Remain-aissance Man
Helena Jay is a London-based international artist, born and raised in the UK before moving to France for 15 years to live and study art, later returning to London. Her practice explores ecological philosophy, interconnection, and the unseen threads that bind all living things — layered, symbol-rich paintings rooted in the belief that everything is fundamentally connected, worked through in a language of colour and symbol rather than direct narrative.
Her exhibition record includes the Florence Biennale at the Fortezza da Basso (2019), the London Biennale in Chelsea, and the Van Gogh Art Gallery in Madrid, and her work has been featured in British Vogue and House & Garden magazine. Creed Gallery, Ascot, is currently the only gallery representing Helena Jay.
Remain-aissance Man's title suggests a convergence of memory and rebirth, reflecting Jay's ongoing exploration of historical reference within contemporary abstraction. Built up in acrylic, oil stick, pigments, resin and gold leaf, the composition balances gestural movement with structural restraint, inviting sustained engagement over a fixed reading.
Available through Creed Gallery, Ascot, for collectors across Berkshire, Surrey, and London.
