Damien Hirst (b. 1965) — Forever (Small)

Damien Hirst was born in Bristol in 1965, studied at Goldsmiths College and won the Turner Prize in 1995. He is known for his spot, spin and butterfly works and his preserved animal sculptures, and Tate Modern staged a major survey of his career in 2012.

Forever (Small) is a close-up detail from Hirst's Cherry Blossoms paintings, published by HENI Editions in September 2020 alongside Fruitful. The prints were sold for a two-week window to raise funds for Save the Children Italy, so the edition size was set by demand rather than fixed in advance. Thick, sculptural pink, white and green paint on a dark ground gives the print the feel of the original canvases in a compact format.
