Damien Hirst (b. 1965) — The Currency | Poster 3

Damien Hirst was born in Bristol in 1965, studied at Goldsmiths College and won the Turner Prize in 1995. He is known for his spot, spin and butterfly works and his preserved animal sculptures, and Tate Modern staged a major survey of his career in 2012.

This unsigned exhibition poster is connected to The Currency, Damien Hirst's 2021 project of 10,000 hand-painted spot works on handmade paper, each linked to an NFT. With black lettering over Hirst's coloured spots, it is a digital print on poster paper rather than one of the painted works, which makes it an accessible way to own imagery from the project.
