Adoration I Deluxe is the foundational work in Jennine Parker's celebrated Adoration series — the bronze sculpture that established the visual and emotional proposition that the subsequent works in the series develop. Parker's figurative bronzes are concerned with the physical language of love and devotion: the gesture of adoration rendered in metal with a precision and feeling that distinguishes her work from the broader field of contemporary figurative sculpture.

Bronze carries its own history — the material of ancient statuary, of monuments and memorials, of objects made to last beyond the lifetimes of those who commissioned them.
