Lhouette — Mission to Mars
Lhouette is a British artist who calls his style "post urban glamour". He left the Royal Navy in his early twenties, found his way back to art in East London, studied at Birkbeck, University of London, and set up his own studio in 2012. He works with aerosol paint, acrylics, resins, metallic gilds and diamond dust, using stencils, collage and hand painting, and has exhibited in London, Hong Kong, San Francisco and New York.
Mission to Mars is a mixed-media work from a unique edition of 15, finished with diamond dust. It is built from five stacked panels in a black frame. A blonde woman in sunglasses, with a lightning bolt painted across her face, looks out from the top, above a space shuttle, retro arcade lettering, a "Holiday on Mars" headline and a crowd of cartoon and comic-book characters, all in the saturated pop colour that Lhouette is known for.
Available through Creed Gallery, Ascot, for collectors across Berkshire, Surrey, and London.
