Lincoln Townley paints at scale and with urgency. His works — large-format, mixed-media, psychologically charged — have been collected by Al Pacino, Sylvester Stallone, and Robbie Williams, and have sold at Sotheby's, Christie's, and Bonhams. He describes his practice as "psychological expressionism": painting as a record of internal states, executed with the physical intensity of an artist who came to the canvas late, after a period of serious personal crisis, and has been working with absolute commitment ever since.

Skull Galaxy is a monumental unique work — a 1/1 original that cannot be replicated. At this scale, the skull motif that runs through much of Townley's output takes on cosmological dimensions: the image expanding to fill the canvas, reaching beyond the frame, suggesting not death but the scale of consciousness. The mixed-media surface — layered, textured, worked and reworked — holds its own visual logic at close range as much as at a distance.
