Exhale is Maxim at his most meditative — a work whose title suggests release, relief, the moment after holding one's breath when the tension finally resolves. For the frontman of The Prodigy, a band whose music has always been about physical intensity and the build and release of energy, the moment of exhale carries particular weight. This is the other side of Pure Energy: the stillness that follows the storm.

The mixed media technique allows Maxim to build surfaces of genuine material complexity — acrylic, spray paint, resin, and additional elements combining to create an object that rewards sustained attention with increasing richness.
