Music Lover is Maxim's most directly autobiographical title — the thing he is, before he is a frontman or a visual artist or anything else. The love of music has been the organising principle of his entire creative life: the quality that drew him to The Prodigy in 1990, that has sustained him through three decades of touring and recording, and that now informs his visual practice with the same urgency and physical commitment that has always characterised his music.
