The Future Is Yours is Maxim's most directly addressed work — a statement directed at the viewer, placing agency and possibility in their hands rather than the artist's. Set against a distressed copper backdrop with butterfly and street art graffiti elements, the reflective panel format gives the work a quality that changes with the ambient light, with the viewer's position, with the time of day — making it formally as well as thematically dynamic.

Maxim — the Prodigy frontman who turned to visual art after leaving an art fair empty-handed and deciding he could do better — has spent over two decades developing a practice of genuine originality and formal sophistication.
