Mr Brainwash — the alias of French-born, Los Angeles-based artist Thierry Guetta — built his reputation on collaging the imagery of twentieth-century pop culture into street-rooted, optimistic compositions, a practice that found a global audience after Banksy’s 2010 documentary Exit Through the Gift Shop. Hope is Beautiful continues that visual language: a young girl, set against his signature black-and-white graffiti-wall backdrop, releasing a heart-shaped cluster of colour-saturated balloons skyward.

Released as a timed edition alongside its companion piece, Peace is Beautiful, the two works are designed to be read as a single rainbow when hung side by side. Buyers purchasing the pair are allocated matching edition numbers where possible, though specific numbers cannot be guaranteed in advance.
