Alien Town takes Mr Doodle's signature Graffiti Spaghetti universe — the densely populated world of characters, patterns, and interlocking forms he has spent his career developing — into the territory of science fiction and the extraterrestrial. The alien as a subject suits his visual language perfectly: in a universe where everything is already slightly alien, where the rules of ordinary visual logic do not apply, the introduction of explicitly alien characters is simply an extension of the existing premise.

Sam Cox spent over four months in 2021 covering every surface of his house in the Doodle World — walls, ceilings, furniture, appliances — in a project that attracted tens of millions of views and confirmed his position as one of the most genuinely original visual artists of his generation. His works sell at Sotheby's and Christie's with consistent secondary market performance.
