Mr Doodle (Sam Cox, b. 1994)
Untitled, 2021
Acrylic on unstretched canvas | Unique original
In 2021, Mr Doodle — born Sam Cox in Kent — spent over four months covering every surface of his house in his signature Doodle World: walls, floors, ceilings, furniture, appliances. The project was documented and shared globally, attracting tens of millions of views and confirming what the secondary market had been indicating for several years: that Cox had moved from a viral internet phenomenon to a serious artist with a genuinely original visual language and a collector base that includes some of the most sophisticated buyers in the world.
This Untitled original, executed in acrylic on unstretched canvas, is a significant unique work within Cox's practice. His "Graffiti Spaghetti" universe — the characters, patterns, and interlocking forms that constitute his visual grammar — is executed here with the density and internal consistency that characterises his strongest output. Every edge of the canvas is worked. There is no hierarchy of subject and background: the composition is total, and it operates at every scale simultaneously.
Mr Doodle's works have sold at Sotheby's and Christie's, with prices at auction regularly exceeding estimates. Original works on canvas of this quality are increasingly difficult to acquire outside of major auction events. This is a primary market opportunity.
Available through Creed Gallery, Ascot. Private viewings by appointment for collectors across Berkshire, Surrey, and London.
