The Connor Brothers — I Don't Want To Go To Heaven, None Of My Friends Are There
The Connor Brothers is the collaborative alias of British artists Mike Snelle and James Golding, who launched the project in 2013. Working from a shared visual language of vintage pulp fiction and Penguin-style book cover design, the pair layer witty, provocative text over found and reimagined imagery, building a body of work now held in collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum.
I Don't Want To Go To Heaven, None Of My Friends Are There pairs the duo's signature dark humour with their pulp-cover aesthetic, using irreverent text to needle at mortality, belonging and the appeal of bad company. This piece is a hand-signed Artist's Proof, 1 of 2.
Available through Creed Gallery, Ascot, for collectors across Berkshire, Surrey, and London.
