مجموعة: Preston Paperboy
Nathan Preston, who works under the pseudonym Preston Paperboy, is a self-described ‘neo-expressionist’ who combines tenets of portraiture and Abstract Expressionism with a street art sensibility. Using paints and charcoal, the artist layers facial fragments, crude lines, and text slogans, which altogether suggest personality and narrative.
Two trademarks adorn each painting — a left eye, which represents a window to the soul, and the outline of a frowning face with dollar signs for eyes.
Born and raised in Essex, Preston Paperboy studied architecture before turning to fine art. He’s exhibited in London, Hong Kong, Atlanta, and Miami, among other cities. Through his work (which also includes sculpture), Preston Paperboy explores questions of love, loss, envy, and greed.
