Andy Warhol (1928–1987) — Stars and Legends, Te Neues Portfolio (Set of Six)
Released in 1990 by Te Neues Publishing in cooperation with the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Stars and Legends gathers six of Warhol’s best-known celebrity and self-portrait images into a single collector’s portfolio, reproduced as offset lithographs.
The six subjects span more than two decades of Warhol’s career: his 1967 self-portrait; John Lennon (1986); Greta Garbo (1981); James Dean (1985); Judy Garland (1987); and Ludwig van Beethoven (1987).
