Richard “Seen” Mirando began painting New York’s subway cars at the age of eleven, eventually leading the United Artists crew responsible for some of the most recognisable whole-car pieces of the 1970s and 80s, and is widely referred to as the Godfather of Graffiti.

R Tag (Blue) isolates a single letterform from Seen’s graffiti vocabulary and magnifies it until the brushwork itself becomes the subject, the letter rendered in cool blue spray paint across the full width of the canvas.
