Collection: Helena Jay | Ecological Abstract Art
Helena Jay is a London-based international artist whose practice explores ecological philosophy, interconnection, and the unseen threads that bind all living things. Rooted in the belief that everything is connected, her work is both a personal and collective inquiry — a way of making sense of the world through stillness, sensitivity, and sustained reflection. In a time of increasing fragmentation, her paintings offer space to feel, reconnect, and remember our place within the larger living system.
Her canvases are layered with hidden symbols and meaning, reflecting a deep interest in semiotics and the unseen language of images. The symbols reward careful looking — visible to those who attend closely, revealing new meanings on each return to the work. Her palette tends toward vibrant blues — the colour of water, sky, and the distances that connect rather than separate — a deliberate choice that carries through her entire output as both aesthetic and conceptual commitment.
Her exhibition record spans some of the most significant international platforms available to a contemporary artist. She has shown at the Florence Biennale XII at the Fortezza da Basso, the London Biennale in Chelsea, the Van Gogh Art Gallery in Madrid, and the Wimbledon Art Fair. Her work has been featured in British Vogue and House & Garden magazine. She is currently working on a new body of work following an intensive period of private research and creative exploration.
Available through Creed Gallery, Ascot, for collectors across Berkshire, Surrey, and London.
