Kate Paul is a Polish artist based in Wrocław whose large-scale abstract paintings draw on the specific and layered history of Lower Silesia — a region whose complex past, architectural ruins, and accumulated cultural memory provide the conceptual foundation for a visual practice of considerable formal intelligence.
Holding a Master's degree from the Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, Paul trained initially in ceramics and graphic design before transitioning to large-scale painting on canvas — a move that allowed her to work at the scale her subjects demand.
